2012 had dramatic highs and lows in just about every corner that my shadow fell.
Photography was no exception.
I was handed some incredible opportunities this year, and I tried my best to say ‘yes’ to all of them. Thinking back on all of them, I think there is one shoot that stood out as my favorite, one that stood out as my biggest leap in creating my interpretation of story through photographs, and one that is my best overall work, in the shoot, and in post.
Thankfully, they are all one shoot. I consider it to be the highlight of my photography year. None of this is to say that if I shot you or your loved ones, that I didn’t like it. I don’t create garbage; I loved the photos I provided to all of my clients.
The Co-Audio shoot just stood out as my favorite.
I think the irony is that it is one of my least seen shoots of this year. I guess that’s just how it goes sometimes. Here’s to growing and learning more about telling stories through photographs in 2013, and making every shoot more and more like this one.
